Surah Al-'Asr
Course Overview
This inspiring short course is your doorway into the timeless wisdom of Surah Al-ʿAsr, a concise yet powerful Surah that encapsulates the very essence of success and salvation. Although made up of only three ayāt, it contains a lifetime’s guidance, urging us to value time, anchor ourselves in faith, live with integrity, and build communities of truth and patience. As Imām al-Shāfiʿī beautifully said: “If the people were to reflect upon Surah Al-ʿAsr, it would be enough for them.”
Across six carefully designed sessions, you will journey into the depth of each word and phrase, discovering how this Surah can transform the way you see your daily struggles, relationships, and aspirations. Through practical tafsīr, reflective assignments, and structured note-taking, the course guides you to internalize the Surah—not just as theory, but as a living framework for your everyday decisions.
Rooted in authentic scholarship and made accessible in simple delivery, the course is tailored for women seeking a serious and nurturing environment to strengthen their īmān, discipline their time, and cultivate habits of sabr and ṣidq.
By the end, you will:
- Grasp the layered meanings and themes of Surah al-ʿAsr.
- Recognize time as a divine trust and learn to guard it against loss.
- Build faith-based routines anchored in īmān, righteous action, truth, and patience.
- Complete two reflective assignments that reinforce spiritual growth and practical living.
Designed as both study and self-transformation, this course is not only an opportunity to learn, but a commitment to live Surah Al-ʿAsr as your guiding compass.
